An urban watershed consists of area of land through which water
drains to common destination. The Rock Bay Watershed is an urban
watershed with the city of Victoria, and is drained by a complex system
of enclosed storm sewers. The Rock Bay Watershed is composed of four
drainage basins, therefore four-stormwater outfalls discharge into Rock
Bay. These storm drain systems drain approximately 434.40 hectares or
22.3% of the entire City of Victoria area.

Rock Bay is contained wholly within the neighbourhood of Burnside
Gorge but the watershed area is composed of the following eight
neighbourhoods:
