Volunteering for Burnside Gorge allows you
to become a part of
something important. We offer volunteers the chance to contribute to
the community and to learn new skills, as well as the satisfaction of
helping those in your neighbourhood.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Special Events -
Community Chest, Easter Eggstravaganza, Selkirk
Waterfront Festival, Friends of Burnside Gorge Gala, Halloween Howl,
Santa Pancake Breakfast, Christmas Gift Wrap
- Environmental Initiatives - participate in the annual Gorge Waterway clean-up
- Reception Assistant -
flexible weekday shifts at the front
desk with general office and receptionist duties
- Youth Centre - assist with drop-in activities and interact with youth
- Family Centre - Parent & Tot programs, community hot meals
- Community Newsletter - writing, research, photography
